MEGHAN MARKLE, the Duchess of Sussex, has been hailed a “great representation for our people” by iconic singer Beyonce Knowles’ mother.

Tina Knowles praised the impact Meghan has had in challenging and changing racial attitudes since her relationship with Prince Harry began. According to MailOnline, Ms Knowles made the comments while at the opening of ‘Soul of a Nation’ at Los Angeles’ Broad Museum. The 65-year-old said: “I mean, I think she’s beautiful, intelligent, independent young woman.
“I think it’s amazing that she got that opportunity and that she is a great representation for our people.
“It’s really wonderful.”
Ms Knowles is the former manager of her daughter Beyonce’s band Destiny’s Child.
She is a prominent fashion designer known for her House of Dereon and Miss Tina by Tina Knowles fashion ranges.

Her comments aren’t the first time Meghan has been praised by the Knowles household.
After winning a Brit Award, Beyonce and her husband Jay Z commended the 37-year-old royal’s influence.
The couple posted a picture of a painting they have of Meghan.
Taking to Instagram to explain why the couple were standing in front of the image, Beyonce wrote: “In honour of Black History Month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas.

The picture was designed by artist Tim O’Brien, who also produced a similar picture of Beyonce.
Meghan is expecting to give birth to her first child with Prince Harry in April or May.
