Shoppers rush to buy M&S 'stylish' sell-out rechargeable lamp that's back in stock

The right lamp can help transform the ambience of any space, but not every corner has a socket. A rechargeable lamp can be the perfect solution, and shoppers are flocking to Marks and Spencer to snap up a sell-out favourite that is now back in stock.
The Joshua Rechargeable Table Lamp sells for £49.50, and the retailer says it's its number one bestseller in lighting products. It's similar in shape and style to the checked version that was very popular last year, but with the added bonus of being rechargeable.
The Joshua lamp has a square, ceramic striped base with a coordinating shade. It's available in navy and green colourways, both in stock at the time of writing but likely not for long. The specific shape is very popular with M&S customers, who have consistently sold out the Joshua and its plug-in variants every year, according to the Mirror, so it's likely only a matter of time before it sells out again.
The compact lamp measures H33.3 cm x W23 cm x L23 cm and is also touch-activated and dimmable, with three brightness settings. Its modern design makes it the perfect addition to any bedroom or living room, and it can serve as both a lighting source and a decorative statement piece.
What sets the Joshua apart, though, is that it doesn't need to be plugged in, meaning it can be placed in hard-to-reach areas, such as tall shelves or corners without plug sockets. It's rechargeable, comes with an LED bulb and a USB-C cable for charging, and promises up to eight hours of battery life.

Fans of the lamp love the design, with one calling it "a very stylish lamp" and adding that "because it is rechargeable, you do not need to worry about plugs and cables".
Most happy customers commented on the convenience of the lamp's rechargeability and cordless operation. One wrote: "I bought these lamps to use in our bedroom so that we can read at night. They are rechargeable, so don't need to be plugged into a socket. They look stylish and fit well with our decor. They are just the right size for our bedside tables, as they don't take up a lot of space."
Others liked the lamp's dimmer setting for its versatility. One wrote: "I adore this lamp! Its stylish design not only elevates the look of my office but also brings a fantastic ambience. I can easily adjust the light intensity to set the perfect mood for any task. It's the ideal addition to my workspace."
Another five-star review said: "They have three brightness settings, and they are easy to switch on and off as they have a sensor, so that I only have to put my finger in front of the switch to turn off. They come with a USB cable and charge quickly. These are a great addition to our room, and I can recommend them."
The lamp has a battery life of up to eight hours, but it's worth noting that, depending on the brightness setting, it might run out sooner. At the same time, M&S specifies that the lamp is designed to provide ambient light in a room, so it should not be used as a main light source.
If you like the design of the lamp but would like to leave it on for longer, the sell-out Checkerboard table lamp is back in stock at M&S in all three colourways. This one plugs in and might be a better option for shoppers who don't want to worry about charging.
