We've found a £27 laundry basket that makes washing 'so much easier' for one reason
If carrying armfuls of laundry to and from the washing machine, your least favourite chore, we've spotted a laundry basket that shoppers are saying has massively improved their routine. Shoppers have described the basket as "top-notch" thanks to one simple reason: wheels. Rather than carrying a basket with handles, this one rolls around your home. And, even better, it has three separate sorting compartments, so you can move up to three batches of washing in one go.
In a review, one shopper said: "Absolutely love this so much easier to carry my washing downstairs in one of the buckets off the top, fits perfectly in my room, so light and easy to move around."
This three-compartment laundry basket is currently just £26.20 at Debenhams, and it's a great shout for households with a lot of clothes to wash. There is a larger basket that pops open at the bottom, with two smaller ones with carry handles on top, which can clip off from the base.
The laundry basket is 74cm tall and quite compact, measuring 44cm wide and 31cm deep. This means it can be neatly stored in a corner of the bathroom, bedroom, or laundry room without taking up too much space. And once you've positioned it where you need, the wheels are lockable to keep it from sliding around.
Debenhams customers are praising the laundry basket online, with one saying: "Great laundry basket, plenty of room and on wheels so slides in and out of the corner of my bathroom."
Several shoppers said the wheels were a great help. One wrote: "This laundry basket is top notch with it being on wheels, I don’t have to carry my laundry to the washer, I just wheel it, which is really handy when you are disabled."
Another said: "I really like that it rolls in and out easily. I have a larger utility room, so I will just get the second one so I can sort all the colour variations in my household. The top baskets can be used to bring the washing from the other rooms."
One customer found a different use for the basket, saying: "This is a fantastic storage unit for my grandson's toys... easy to lift off the buckets and put back together... wheel away into the cupboard."
But while most reviewers said the basket was "nice and compact," some found it too small. One said: "Great laundry basket, but just a little on the small side in the bottom basket. You can't really fit much in."
