Skoda Octavia vRS 245 is the high-performance model you'll want to own
Skoda Octavia 2017 range was released in January but now the Czech automotive company have released a high-performance version of the car.
The Octavia vRs 245 produces 245 PS – 15 PS more than the previous top of the range vRS variant.
Acceleration in the performance Octavia takes just 6.6 seconds to get from 0-62mph and the top speed is limited to 155mph.
The Estate variant of the vRS 245 takes just 6.7 seconds to achieve 0-6mph but is a more practical, family-orientated option.
Maximum torque tops out at 370Nm and there is a choice of a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Octavia range had a facelift for 2017 and the vRS has had other exterior and interior tweaks to differentiate from the standard model.
Gloss-black radiator grille and trim, 19-inch gloss black alloys, sports seats and vRS logos dotted across the car are visually the only differences.
Both the front and the rear are now full LED, improving visibility.
The chassis has been lowered by 14mm and its rear track is 38mm which lowers its centre of gravity and should impure handling.

Two categories of Infotainment Online (information/entertainment) and Care Connect (driver assistance).
The top-of-the-range Columbus navigation system features a 9.2-inch screen and an optional LTE module for super-fast data transfer, and provides occupants with a Wi-Fi hotspot.
New driver assistance systems and safety features have been added to the car including Adaptive Cruise Control, Predictive Pedestrian Protection, Front Assist, Blind Spot Detect, Rear Traffic Alert, Manoeuvre Assist and Care Protect Assist.
The vRS 245 will go form 0-60mpg in 6.6 seconds

Skoda also released a Scout version of the Octavia in January and a Sportline version of the Kodiaq.
