The Grand Tour: One For The Road - Official trailer

Richard Hammond, James May and Jeremy Clarkson have all bid farewell in their last-ever episode of The Grand Tour after many years on the road.

The Amazon Prime stars have gained popularity due to their easy banter and expert car knowledge, but fans are eager to know more about their lives off-screen.

At 54, Richard is the youngest of the former Top Gear trio and has hosted numerous other popular television shows, including the game show Total Wipeout and the documentary series Planet Earth Live.

In scenes from The Grand Tour: One for the Road, Richard revealed he will particularly miss going on road trips with James and Jeremy, whom he has worked with for many years.

Is Richard Hammond married?

Richard Hammond is married to The Daily Express’ very own Mindy Hammond, who has written many columns for the paper over the years.

The pair, who have been married for over twenty years, have been through a lot together - including Richard's horror car crash in 2006.

The pair met back in 1995 and tied the knot seven years later in 2002.

In his book, On The Edge: My Story, Richard wrote of their first meeting: “In an instant, I fell in love with her and realised I had met my soul-mate and best friend for life.”

Following his car crash during filming for Top Gear, which saw Richard’s car flipped over when he raced at 319mph at an RAF base in York, he spent two weeks in a coma.

While he still suffers from short-term memory loss, Richard has mostly recovered - but he’s sworn off dangerous stunts from now on due to the effect it could have on his family.

Does Richard Hammond have children?

Richard and Mindy Hammond share two children: Isabella, who was born in 2001, and Willow, who arrived in 2004.

While the girls have mostly been kept out of the public eye, Izzy and her dad have since launched a podcast called Who We Are Now.

Where does Richard Hammond live?

Richard and his family live in a stunning, grade II listed building nestled in the West Midlands.

Just a one-hour drive from Solihull, where he grew up, Richard lives in the small market town of Ross-on-Wye, which is located in Herefordshire.

The Hammonds’ lavish countryside property, Bollitree Castle, is believed to be worth around £2 million.

The Grand Tour presenter purchased the castle in 2008 with his wife, Mindy, and the pair renovated it in to a beautiful family home.

What is Richard Hammond’s net worth?

According to the Sun, Richard Hammond could be worth as much as £35 million. He reportedly received a massive pay rise after moving from Top Gear to The Grand Tour where his annual earnings apparently rose from £500,000 to £7.2m.

The star also made some serious cash from his various other presenting roles, including Brainiac: Science Abuse from 2003 to 2006, Total Wipeout from 2009 to 2012, and Planet Earth Live in 2012.

The Grand Tour: One For The Road premieres on Friday, September 13, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
