Dame Barbara Windsor celebrates 80th birthday at London restaurant
DAME Barbara Windsor proved that age is just a number as the celebrated her 80th birthday.

The veteran actress looked elegant and sprightly in a black and white striped dress as she saw in her eighth decade alongside husband Scott Mitchell, 53, at a London restaurant.
Barbara, who played landlady Peggy Mitchell in EastEnders for 16 years, was also reunited with actor Ross Kemp, her former on-screen son Grant Mitchell in the BBC soap.
The were joined by journalist and Loose Women presenter Jane Moore along with Debbie McGee, the wife of the late magician Paul Daniels, actor Christopher Biggins and his partner Neil Sinclair.

They celebrated at Scott’s in Mayfair, a popular haunt with A-listers.
Before they went inside Barbara and third husband Scott and their guests posed for photographers waiting outside the seafood restaurant on Saturday night.
The couple, who have been together for 16 years, raised eyebrows at the beginning of their relationship because of the 27-year age gap.

Former actor and recruitment consultant Scott was accused by some of being a gold-digger.
He said at the time: “Little did they know that after the breakdown of Babs’s second marriage, she was £1million in debt and we were talking about her coming to live in my two-bed flat.”
Barbara is best known for her work in the theatre, Carry On films and EastEnders, which she joined in 1994.

She won the British Soap Award for Best Actress in 1999 and also won the Outstanding Contribution Award at the TV Choice Awards.
Last year she received a Best Exit gong at the Inside Soap Awards for her portrayal of Peggy’s death in the soap.
