JANE FONDA and Ariana Grande are among nearly 70,000 people expected to attend a Women's March in downtown Los Angeles tomorrow.

The event's organiser, Emiliana Guereca, said in a statement: "Women's March Los Angeles is about having our voices heard, activating our community and unifying our community. Women's right are human rights."
The Women's March Los Angeles website says that the event is "open to everyone who stands for human rights, civil liberties, tolerance of diversity, and a compassion for our shared humanity".
"In the spirit of democracy and honouring the champions of human rights, dignity, and justice who have come before us, we join in diversity to show our presence in numbers too great to ignore," the website states.
"We stand together, recognizing that defending the most marginalized among us is defending all of us."

The march will take place the day after President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration this afternoon.
Guereca organised the event on Facebook, creating an event that now indicates nearly 70,000 people attending.
In addition to Jane Fonda and Ariana Grande, Frozen star Idina Menzel and actress and political activist Alfre Woodard are among dozens of celebrities expected to attend.

She has stated that the march is not an anti-Trump rally, saying: "Of course he's our President. We're not saying he's not. We don't want it to be chaotic."
She emphasises that the organisers want the event to be a safe space - there are no drugs, alcohol or weapons allowed - and says that it will be "a unifying moment for everybody," including men.
Women's March Los Angeles is one of several set to be held across America.
