Wayne Rooney leads the way as proud parents show off their children heading back to school
FOOTBALL and TV stars proudly paraded their smartly-dressed children today as they headed back to school.

Parents Wayne Rooney, Kerry Katona, Amanda Holden, Raheem Sterling and Sir Elton John were among a host of stars to flood social media with images of their little ones.
Wayne seemed proud as punch that his young sons were dressed up ready for school
England captain Rooney, 30, posted an adorable snap of sons Kai, six, and Klay, three, in matching caps and shorts before they left their mansion in Cheshire.
The Manchester United striker captioned the snap: “Proud dad this morning. First day back at school for my boys.”
Elton John, who raises two boys Zachary, five and Elijah, three, with husband David Furnish, also posted a picture of their precious duo – this time walking to school.

He simply wrote online: “Back to school #ShareTheLove.”
Meanwhile, ex-Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona, 35, shared a photo of two of her children – Maxwell, eight, and Heidi, nine – both of second husband Mark Croft.
Both youngsters, with backpacks at the ready, flashed beaming smiles in their blue shirts and yellow and blue striped ties.

Bournemouth midfielder Jack Wilshire, 24, joined the party, posting a pictures of his and girlfriend Lauren Neal’s son, Archie, four, alongside snaps of himself as a child on Instagram.
He added: “I remember my first day at school, where have all the years gone, Good luck.”
Even Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, 45, got in on the act – sharing a picture of her four-year-old Hollie’s new shoes as she stood in the garden before school.
