Prince Harry found himself in an awkward mix-up with his brother, Prince William, at a charity concert hosted by Kevin Costner.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, attended the charity event supporting Santa Barbara’s first responders, hosted by 69-year-old Bodyguard actor. The event was a star-studded evening dedicated to honouring the bravery of local heroes, yet it was Harry’s presence that sparked the most attention amid the social media blunder.

Among the star-studded lineup was American singer Richard Marx, who performed during the concert. However, in an awkward moment, Marx didn’t immediately notice Prince Harry as he left the stage, prompting the dad-of-two to subtly direct him towards his location.

In a clip uploaded to social media, the rocker was seen almost walking right past Prince Harry.

Richard Marx's wife, Daisy Fuentes, later shared behind-the-scenes moments on Instagram, as the pair eventually caught up. She posted photos of the pair chatting but accidentally tagged Kate and William's account.

As well as meeting celebrity guests, Prince Harry presented an award for the charity event. He took to the stage to present Santa Barbara County air support pilot Loren Courtney with an award.

"As you've probably heard already, 22 years [of] military service over 10,000 hours and rarely sees his family because he's always here flying helicopters.

He said: "I learned in the military, you never leave anybody behind. We got him out. He spent almost a year in intensive care and then rehab, and now he's walking, he got married. He actually went to the top of the Grand Tetons and proposed to his girlfriend after the accident."

"You didn't have to rescue him again, did you?" Prince Harry joked.

Neither Meghan Markle nor Prince Harry currently have official social media accounts. Since stepping back from royal duties, the couple has distanced themselves from platforms like Instagram, choosing instead to focus on their charitable endeavors and media projects.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton often share updates about their family, royal engagements, and charitable initiatives with their followers on Instagram and X.
