Inside Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen's life from rows, jealousy and 'secret' romance

Amanda Owen and her family will be the focus of a new documentary series in the Yorkshire Dales as they renovate a derelict farmhouse.

The series, Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, sees Amanda, Clive and their nine children work with local tradespeople to bring the listed property back to life.

However, the shepherdess' life away from the cameras has not been without drama following the end of the Channel 5 series, Our Yorkshire Farm.

In recent weeks the mum-of-nine has been candid about her personal life, from her marriage split to dating a new man.

Amanda has finally addressed the end of her 22-year marriage to Clive.

The 50-year-old split from the farmer in 2022 resulting in the end of her family's Channel 5 series.

Addressing her marriage breakdown the on-screen star admitted their relationship was fuelled by growing "tension" which led to rows.

Amanda explained her marriage split: "Clive never liked me being away from the farm, and that led to ­arguments. I would return home not knowing what to expect or what his reaction would be. I’d feel the tension in the air and await the explosion."

During the interview, both Amanda and Clive explained that the fame eventually drove them apart.

Due to its success, Amanda was frequently asked to speak at events, which caused Clive to become resentful.

He explained that he felt uncomfortable no longer being the breadwinner for the family, adding: "It was especially hard knowing that Amanda, who is a very beautiful woman, would be going out, all dressed up, to launches and events and meeting other people.

"I resented her success, ­including the fact that she got paid more for talking about sheep than I ever could for farming sheep. I was jealous and difficult to deal with."

"I was angry and drinking a lot of whisky. It was my way of coping, but it led to arguments, and as my behaviour worsened, it became too much for Amanda to bear."

Amanda went on to shut down claims of a "secret" romance after she made headlines she had begun dating Rob Davies. The couple have since split following the ongoing scrutiny.

She revealed that Clive actually "suggested him as a match" for her following their divorce in 2022.

Rob had been working on the Yorkshire Farm star's website and the pair had struck up a romance.

"At that point, a few years ago now, Clive was also seeing someone else and was openly dating. It wasn’t a secret; everyone around us knew, even the children," she told MailOnline.

Clive also shut down claims of an "affair", confirming Rob and Amanda had begun dating after they had separated.

He added it "was not right to blame Amanda" saying no one tried harder than the shepherdess to keep their marriage going before their split.
