Christine Lampard opened up about her marriage to husband and former professional footballer Frank Lampard. The Loose Women presenter, 45, tied the knot with the ex-Chelsea player in 2015 and they are parents to two young children, Patricia, aged five and Freddie, aged three.

Frank, 46, is also a proud dad to his two older daughters, Isla and Luna from his previous relationship with Elena Rivas.

The ITV host spoke candidly with her colleague Dr Hilary Jones on his self-titled podcast where he questioned Christine on the couple's work life balance and the "challenges" they have faced with her other half's life as a footballer turned manager.

"It can be [challenging]," she explained, "but weirdly we feel blessed. It's interesting to say, because he's not working at the minute. But this is the first time that's been the case."

Frank's last job was as Chelsea's interim boss at the end of the 2022/23 season.

Christine admitted the family have done their "fair share of moving around" amid her beau's various work commitments which has seen him relocate to various parts of the UK.

"When he was playing [football] certainly, you're all in," she explained. "That's what your life is, training everyday, there are no Christmases or New Years. That's fine."

"When you go into management you can be anywhere doing that job. We have had times where he's been up in Derby, up in Manchester, or Liverpool.

"We've done our fair share of moving around."

The TV star admitted: "Particularly when the children were really young he wasn't here at all."

Since Frank has been out of work they have been able to enjoy some downtime together as a family, which Christine admitted has created a "happy household" for her and their children.

"We've really appreciated the past year where he has been at home," she gushed.

"The children loved having him here. It's been a happy household without having to get in a car and drive for four hours."

Christine and Frank previously purchased a home in Liverpool when Frank landed the job as Everton manager in January 2022 - but he has since departed the role.

The family also own a residence in London

Christine married footballer Frank back in 2015 in Knightsbridge, after meeting at the Pride of Britain Awards in 2009.

Frank revealed in 2018 that it was "love at first sight" for the pair and that they are inseparable.
