Martine McCutcheon 'grateful' after traumatic marriage split from Jack McManus
Martine McCutcheon shared her "gratitude" just days after revealing she'd split from her husband.
Former EastEnders star Martine McCutcheon shared a cryptic quote after her singer ex Jack McManus called time on their 12 year marriage, following an almost two-decade long relationship.
Taking to her Instagram Stories this week, the 48-year-old actress wrote: "I didn't have the year I wanted, I had the year I needed. I grew so much this year and for that I am grateful."
The actress, who has suffered chronic fatigue syndrome and depression in the past,also shared other self-improvement quotes while taking time out with son Rafferty in Marbella. She even reposted a video by wellness educator Alex Elle, who teaches how to "heal yourself and reclaim your peace".
She revealed: "The older I get, the less time I have for people who are unsure about me. I need people in my life who are certain. People who want to be there. People who make space for me."
Martine praised: "I love this lady. @alex_elle soothing, gentle, voice, softly reminding us of our own strength, value, love and true worth." She also shared another post from the Instagram account Selfcare Withwall, reading: "Be proud of yourself for surviving the silent battles no one knows about."

The Love Actually actress, who previously shared she'd suffered from anxiety so strong that it had made her a "recluse", shared a statement about her split last week.
She wrote: "After much thought and consideration, Jack has decided it's best for us to separate after 18 years together and I accept his decision.
"We are both so very blessed and grateful for our beautiful, 9 year old son Rafferty, who's happiness and welfare, has always been, and will continue to be, our number 1 priority."
She continued that despite no longer being in a relationship, the pair "still cherish and look forward to being parents together to our wonderful boy for the rest of our lives".

"Whilst this decision has evolved over a period of time, we are still finding our new way forward as a family and kindly ask for some privacy at this time... Especially for our little boy.
"Our love for Rafferty, is something that will never, waver, or change and we obviously want to protect him and help him feel as safe and secure as possible."
Martine revealed that she wished him "love, luck and happiness for the next chapter" in his life.
She was inundated with support on Instagram following the announcement, with one follower praising: "You've remained very gracious – what a great role model for your son."
