Ricky Gervais, the star and creator of the hit TV series The Office, has unveiled his new luxurious home office inside his sprawling £15 million mansion in Hampstead.

The British comedian, known for his sharp wit and success in the entertainment industry, offered fans a sneak peek into his latest project: transforming a large, light-filled room into his own office sanctuary.

Taking to Instagram, Ricky shared a picture of the space, which already features his numerous awards prominently displayed on sleek shelves.

While the office is still being completed, Gervais humorously shared his plans for the room, writing: "Nabbed this room for my office. The awards are up. Just need a coffee table, a few pictures on the wall and a pool table."

The office features glossy marble floors and natural light pouring in from large windows.

The room boasts a modern aesthetic with a chandelier adding a touch of elegance to the workspace.

The 63-year-old comedian purchased the mansion earlier this year, and it's nothing short of a luxury retreat.

The property boasts nine bedrooms, including a master suite with his-and-hers dressing rooms and en-suite bathrooms, as well as nine bathrooms, a gym with a double-height ceiling, a formal drawing room, a spa, and a bar and wine cellar.

The move, according to Gervais, was largely motivated by his desire for a bigger garden, specifically to build a tennis court - a goal that required planning permission from the local council.

Speaking in a vlog posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, Ricky explained that although the new home is an upgrade, he’s unsure if it will be his forever residence.

"I thought the last house was the one I was going to die in. But I didn't die and I wanted a tennis court, so we had to move to a bigger house with a bigger garden just so we could get a tennis court, and I just thought this is amazing, this is perfect. It's not even finished yet, but I love it."

However, Ricky's long-term partner, author Jane Fallon, 63, has raised concerns about the practicality of living in such a grand home as they grow older.

Ricky shared her concerns during his vlog, saying: "The other day, Jane went 'we can't live here when we're 80'. So that's like a ticking clock. She said 'There's all these stairs'. So I'm going to be moving when I'm 80."

Never one to shy away from a joke, Ricky floated the idea of staying put by bringing in extra help.

"I said let's not move, let's just move in a load of doctors, nurses, and security. I could have a team living inside. A driver, someone who I could play table tennis with, so that would be better."

He added: "Moving at 80 with all this s*** again. I don't want to think about it. Jane did most of it anyway."
