Sir Cliff Richard jets to Portugal to support pal Tom Jones' sold-out gig
Music legends Sir Cliff Richard and Sir Tom Jones beamed from ear to ear as they posed for a snap following a show-stopping performance from the Welsh singer.
Sir Cliff Richard claimed that he had a “fun night” out with music icon Tom Jones after heading to his summer gala performance in Portugal. The 83-year-old Shadow’s singer revealed that he caught up with The Voice mentor before the sold-out gig.
They were snapped at the prestigious Cliffs Resort in Algarve for their 21st summer gala where Tom was headlining. The singing duo beamed at the camera as they stood next to each other backstage.
The singer donned a unique style sporting a plain white shirt with a striped tie with his signature brown locks parted slightly in the middle.
Meanwhile, Tom, 84, put on an age-defying display as he wore a floral printed button-up linen shirt teamed with a pair of trousers. A Cliff Richard fan account took to X to update their followers on his travels.
Revealing that the actor had jetted to the sunny coastal resort it read: “Message from Sir Cliff. So pleased to have the chance to catch up with Tom Jones before his gig in Portugal last night. Ever the consummate professional and huge fun. Thanks mate”.
Followers flocked to the comments section in awe of the talented musicians. With one fan writing: “Two 'Oldies but still Goodies' x good on ya boys!! What a duo!!”.
A second user agreed and penned: “Absolute Fantastic Two great Legends Together,” along with a string of clapping emojis.

Initially, the open-air show was meant to be for one night only, but due to popular demand, they added more dates.
It was reported that he released more general admission tickets priced at €79 each.
For those seeking a more exclusive experience, Tom’s team announced there were a further 100 additional front-stage tickets also available for €120 each.
This came after the star ruled out retiring, despite claiming he has to “push harder” with his voice due to his age.
