With just two days before the eagerly-awaited Paris Olympics, Celine Dion took to Instagram with sweet photos as she explored the French capital.

The iconic singer told her 6.9 million followers she was “happy to be back,” in the city and teased a potential performance at the summer games.

Celine was taking in the sights as she posed outside the Louvre and then inside while admiring the Jacques-Louis David painting of The Coronation of Napoleon.

The My Heart Will Go On songstress penned: “Every time I return to Paris, I remember there’s so much beauty and joy still to experience in the world.

“I love Paris, and I’m so happy to be back! Thank you to our wonderful friends at The Louvre!”

With the Olympics’ opening ceremony this week, Celine’s potential performance would mark a huge comeback after being diagnosed with Stiff Persons Syndrome in December 2022.

At the time, she was forced to cancel her Courage World Tour as her neurological condition left her to endure painful muscle spasms.

The hitmaker opened up about the rare disorder and the gruelling treatments she underwent in her soul-baring I Am Celine Dion documentary.

She also included heartbreaking clips of her spasm which saw Celine lying on a table on her side when she freezes and starts to cry as she shakes and whimpers in pain.

Rumours of Celine’s triumphant performance also reached French President, Emmanuel Macron who shared his hopes.

“Apparently she has arrived in Paris, it's great.” Mr Macron said speaking to broadcaster France 2.

“I would be immensely happy if she could be at this opening ceremony, like all our compatriots.”

“I will not reveal anything, what [opening ceremony director] Thomas Jolly and all his teams have prepared. There is also a surprise,” as he added: “I am not responsible for his schedule.”
