Kate Garraway was inundated with adoration as she took to Instagram with sweet photos from Wimbledon, where she attended with her 17-year-old daughter, Darcey Draper.

The broadcaster was one of many famous faces to attend the tennis tournament alongside the likes of Helen Mirren, Maya Jama, Cliff Richards and Trevor McDonald.

The ITV star took to Instagram with highlights from their day out, which included selfies from the stands and snaps of the teenager wearing her late husband Derek Draper’s hat.

The clip which was comprised of photos even showed the mother and daughter duo sharing a delicious bowl of strawberries.

As well as compliments, thousands of Kate’s 1.3 million followers took to her comments after pointing out a noticeable similarity with Darcey.

An eagle-eyed @kimbyrne1963 wrote: “Darci looks like her daddy,” as @angelhudson05 echoed: “Beautiful Kate, looks so much like her dad.”

A second fan @angecervl added: “Darcy is so like her dad.”

As an astonished @mezmo008 remarked: “Wow she looks just like her Dad.”

@sanstringer pointed out: “She's got daddy's eyes.”

Another fan @paulajlackie agreed: “Darcy is so like her dad in this photo.”

Many also paid tribute to the late political advisor, who died in January following major complications after a serious case of long Covid.

Sadly, Derek passed away at 56 years old after also suffering a cardiac arrest, almost four years after contracting the disease.

Taking to the caption, Kate was thankful for “the best mum & daughter’s day” and added: “We haven’t spent the day just the two of us for years - so many giggles!”
