Stacey Solomon 'makes best of situation' as she shows scarring after 'painful burn'

Stacey Solomon has candidly shown off the aftermath of a "painful" accident as she was left with scarring across her stomach. The ITV star, who hosts Sort Your Life Out, was showing off her latest career venture on Instagram as she gave an insight into her recovery.

Showing off her latest swimwear range from her In The Style collection, the mum-of-five posed in a two piece set, covered in oranges. She said: "This is my favourite. My favourite of all the swimwear.

"Look at it, it's oranges. Can I just say I really and truly hope you like this print because I pushed so hard for this. Everyone else at In The Style was like 'oh oranges' and I was like 'please, I want oranges'.

"I think they're so pretty and I love it. I really hope that everyone loves it as much as I do."

She moved closer to the mirror, as she recorded her reflection, showing some of the decals close up and explaining the colour choices. The swimsuit features an off-white background to help make the colourful fruit pop out.

Suddenly, Stacey became distracted as she pointed out a red line across her midriff. She said: "Oo look at my scar. It's from where I, remember, when I pulled the oven tray out."

The Loose Women panellist rubbed her belly as she added: "It's not going any time soon. But almost if I do this..." Stacey scrunched her stomach up as she continued: "It looks like I've got a six pack.

"You've got to make the best of every situation. Anyway, I digress. This is the bikini of my dreams."

The 34-year-old TV star experienced an unfortunate incident at her Essex home, affectionately dubbed Pickle Cottage, back in April of this year. At the time Stacey asked fans on Instagram for "help" after she sustained a burn while baking bread.

She recounted pulling the bread out of the oven too quickly, which resulted in the hot tray contacting her stomach. Stacey expressed her worries about potential scarring and described the pain as "stingy".

In the clip, which she shared with her six million followers, Stacey said: "I need your help and guidance. I burnt myself this morning. Basically, I was making bread - who do I think I am? - and I'd just been to the gym.

"Come back in the house, was making bread, put it in the oven, went to pull it out and pulled it too far, and where I was wearing my gym kit, it went straight into my stomach."

She continued: "So I don't know if anyone else's brain is like this - it never registers burns like it does any other pain. So it went into my stomach and I was like 'Is that hot? Should that be hot? Should it be hurting? Oww'."

Stacey ended the post, as she pleaded for help, saying: " So if you've got any goods tips for like what to put on burns so they don't scar for the future or like reduce scarring and how to reduce the stingy-ness of it, that would be really helpful. It's right on the bloomin' crease of my tummy as well as like every time I bend down I'm like 'oooh'."
