Fiona Bruce has enjoyed a stellar career with the BBC. She began her journey as a researcher for Panorama and has gone on to present popular programmes including Crimewatch, Question Time, Fake Or Fortune, Antiques Roadshow and the news bulletins.

In 2023, the 60-year-old ranked as the sixth highest paid star at the BBC, with an annual salary of between £395,000 and £399,999.

This marked a decrease from her earnings in 2021/2022 when she earned between £410,000 and £414,999 and in 2020/2021 when she brought in between £405,000 and £409,999.

Based on data from Celebritynetworth.com, Fiona's net worth is estimated to be around $3 million (£2.3 million). Off-screen, Fiona is happily married to successful businessman Nigel Sharrocks with whom she shares two children, Sam and Mia Rose.

They have been married since July 1994. Despite her thriving career, Fiona has confessed to some guilt over not spending more time with her children due to work.

In comparing her own upbringing with that of her children, she noted that her mother ceased working after having her first child and was always present during Fiona's childhood, reports OK!.

"My parent's set up was very traditional. I do judge my parenting skills against hers and often find myself falling short," Fiona candidly admitted in a chat with Radio Times.

"We've had the same nanny for 20 years and that has made so much of my working life possible. But I do have a fair dose of working mother's guilt. Would it have been better for my children had I been at home all the time? I don't know. I've asked and they say no."

TV presenter Fiona Bruce's love for hosting doesn't stop at her day job. An avid fan of throwing dinner parties, she revealed during an episode of Room 101 that dancing is essential to ensure a good time.

"For me, if people come round to the house and we have dinner or drinks even, and it doesn't end with a bit of dancing, even if it's in the kitchen, it's not a success," she said.

Frank Skinner, who hosted the show from 2012 to 2018 was shocked as he asked: "You dance in your own house?"

"Yes," Fiona humorously confirmed, leading Frank to add: "That's insanity. In 2023, she faced criticism for referring to an audience member as a "black guy" during an episode of Question Time.

The topical debate programme sees Fiona invite selected audience members to pose questions to a panel of media figures and politicians. During one episode, she singled out an audience member as a "black guy".

Her words were later removed from the BBC iPlayer version of the episode and both the corporation and presenter issued apologies. In a message conveyed via BBC, Fiona expressed: "I totally understand why my words last night caused offence and I apologise."
