Coronation Street's Mason's life off-screen including famous dad and Emmerdale link

Coronation Street's Mason Radcliffe, portrayed by Luca Toolan, has been stirring up drama with his on-screen antics as the notorious school bully. The character has been central to a gripping bullying storyline, targeting Liam Connor and sparking speculation among viewers about a potential bombshell revelation.

Fans are abuzz with theories on social media, with one Facebook user speculating: "They look alike... imagine if the twist was Mason is Gary's secret son and he's such a bully because he didn't have a dad!"

Meanwhile, another fan pondered the possibility of a family connection: "I think Gary will be related to Mason."

Despite the on-screen tension, the actors behind the characters share a camaraderie off-set. Corrie's official Instagram recently shared a heartwarming snapshot of Luca Toolan (Mason) and Charlie Wrenshall (Liam) in a friendly embrace, captioned: "All friends really."

Away from the soap, the 19 year old has a well known father and links to other famous faces.

His father is renowned radio DJ Mike Toolan. He co-hosts a show on The Hits Radio alongside Gemma Atkinson, who is known for her roles in Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.

It's clear that this father-and-son duo are extremely close. Mike couldn't be prouder of his son, sharing with his listeners: "Luca has been unveiled as the new baddie (Mason) on Coronation Street. Absolute dream come true for him. Liam McCheyne and all the amazing Corrie cast and crew have made him feel so at home."

Off the set, Luca posts pictures of his exotic family vacations and lively London nights out. In July, the actor fuelled fans' envy as he shared images of a posh retreat to Greece, showing off luxury yachts against the backdrop of a pristine sea.

His stunning hotel stay was also on display with extended outdoor swimming pools and breathtaking sea views. Continuing his photo diary spree, the youngster posted his latest adventures, which featured trips around London, visiting Cannes, and jet skiing.

The young actor's elation was palpable as he announced he was joining the soap. He posted selfies from the ITV studios, saying: "There's a new kid joining the cobbles Mason Radcliffe.

"It's an honour to be a part of a show that I've grown up on that has some of the warmest and most talented people. Thank you to everyone that supported me, you know who you are. Thanks God always. And my bigger smaller brothers Liam and Charlie."

The actor opened up about his journey on the soap, expressing: "It really is amazing. I feel very lucky because I've had Liam with me and he's been like an older brother to me, even though he's actually younger than me."

Luca then shared some words of wisdom for his troubled character: "Go to therapy, mate! He's a very angry and disturbed soul. People are like that for reasons. Hopefully, in the future, we might be able to explore a little bit more of why he's become the way he's become."

Despite his character's antics, Luca admitted he wouldn't choose to be friends with Mason off-screen, saying: "No! He's a lunatic. I would stay away from people like Mason."

However, he finds joy in portraying Mason, especially due to his close relationship with co-stars Liam and Charlie.

He credited his strong rapport with them for making challenging scenes more manageable, explaining: "If I wasn't really close with them and I didn't spend as much time with them, I'd probably find it more difficult. But because we have that bond and trust each other so much, it's a lot easier."
