Jonnie Irwin sends heartwarming thanks to retreat as he continues cancer battle
The presenter was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020 and revealed last November the cancer had spread to his brain.

Jonnie Irwin has taken the opportunity to thank a wellness retreat for looking after him this year as he continues to fight cancer. The 50-year-old took to his Instagram stories to personally thank the company as he shared the post with his 238,000 followers.
The A Place In The Sun presenter posted a picture of himself along with a few of the company staff who helped him during his cancer battle. In the snap, the Channel 4 star can be seen smiling, as guests in the back are donning Christmas hats and jumpers in what looks like a festive celebration.
He wrote: "Big love and thanks to the @sereneti_health family for all the help this year. x #wellnesss." Jonnie was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020 and revealed last November that his cancer had spread to the brain.
The host is using an electric physiotherapy machine to help strengthen his legs as he takes life day by day with the terminal disease. The star took to Instagram previously to show the machine's electrodes attached to his legs.
Jonnie has the contraption at home and was using it while he watched Tottenham Hotspur beat Newcastle 4-1. He shared it with his followers as he wrote: "Trying out my @enovis_uk_ireland machine whilst watching Spurs come good as I hoped they would.

"For me especially this was a 'pulsating win' Keeping my joy on the DL as Mrs I was not very happy..."
The stimulator is used by both therapists in clinics and patients at home to provide electrical stimulation treatments in pain management and neuromuscular stimulation.
The television personality enjoyed a sunny birthday in Costa Del Sol, Spain with his wife Jessica Holmes and their sons, four-year-old Rex and three-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac.
Speaking to HELLO! last month, he said: "I feel really privileged to be able to celebrate my birthday looking at blue skies and with sand between my toes.

"I had an early birthday party at the start of the year because I didn't think I'd make it. It was like being at my own wake; lots of fun, lots of dancing. But here I am. I view it as a complete triumph.
"Since battling the life-threatning illness, every single day is precious to Jonnie and he is enjoying spending time with his family in Spain.
