In view of her 75,300 followers, the Loose Women host noted an error.
It comes after the British Army veteran Simon Weston's name was misspelt when it appeared on screen.
Janet wrote: "GB news just spelt Simon Weston CBE's name as Western... not a great look for a new channel."
The Loose Women panellist's comments left viewers divided, as one agreed: "Thank you."
Another penned: "I've not managed to get a waft yet. You know when you proceed with caution. Jury still out for me."
Others offered a differing view, as another penned: "It seems to be good. I will be tuning in regularly. Can forgive a few minor errors."
"Trust you to complain Janet. The channel is a breath of fresh air!" a fourth penned.

But while some viewers called the channel “refreshing”, others were distracted by the sound quality.
In his introduction, Andrew said: “GB News will not slavishly follow the existing news agenda.
“We are not a rolling news channel nor will we be providing conventional news bulletins.
“But on all of our programmes and platforms you will always know what is going on and what the country is talking about.”
During the live broadcast, they were hit by a few technical difficulties including a moment Sir Alan Sugar was briefly cut off during an interview with presenter Dan Wooton.
Taking to social media, one viewer quizzed: "Why doesn’t anyone @GBNEWS seem to know anything about SOUND or LIGHTING?!”
“The sound quality is absolutely awful," another viewer moaned.
However, others shared their delight over the launch show, with a third saying: “Loving #GBNews some people trying to rain on its parade. I’m 100 per cent for this refreshing change.”
Furthermore, another shared: “Although @GBNEWS has some technical issues to iron out, content wise this is exactly what our country needs, Refreshing! #GBNews.”
