Taking to Instagram, the antiques expert revealed she has just finished filming new episodes of the hit show. Roo smiled for the camera as she posed for a snap after filming, wowing fans in a pink dress covered in white hearts.

"I’m really missing Bargain Hunt on tv," added a second. Another asked: "When do you think they’ll be on the telly." Sharing their excitement, a fourth posted: "Will look forward to watching the new episodes. Great lunchtime viewing."

It comes after Roo's co-star John Cameron was rushed to hospital after suffering a heart attack just 10 minutes before he was set to film an episode of Bargain Hunt.

The scary incident occurred last week and John was taken in an ambulance to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth.

There, he underwent emergency surgery which involved the fitting of a stent to unblock an artery. In a message shared on Instagram, John paid a "huge thank you" to NHS staff.

Alongside a photo of him in a hospital bed, the TV personality wrote: "On a day when junior doctors stage a one-day strike over back pay, I would like to pledge my support and say a huge thank you to the St Mary's hospital drop-in centre.

"The paramedics 'Jess' and 'Cat' who transported me to Queen Alexandra Hospital with sirens blaring, and the amazing emergency team in theatre who fitted me with a stent unblocking the artery that caused me to have a heart attack just 10 minutes before I was about to film a BBC Bargain Hunt auction at my firm Nesbits in Southsea."

John revealed he would be scaling back his activities after "burning the candle at both ends."
