FARRAH FAWCETT shot to fame as one of the stars from classic 1970s show Charlie’s Angels. As news of a new movie starring Kristen Stewart hits, we take a look back at the original Angel in pictures.
Farrah Fawcett, 62, was one third of Charlie’s Angles alongside Kate Jackson, 69, and Jaclyn Smith, 72, from the 1970s television programme of the same name.
Farrah starred as private investigator Jill Munroe working in LA for her unseen boss Charlie Townsend, voiced by John Forsyth.
The trio of crime-fighting women were a big hit with fans catapulting Farrah to fame.
The success of Charlie’s Angels led to three films being made following the show’s original release in 1976. One adaptation in 2000 and a sequel in 2003 followed by the upcoming 2019 reboot.
Kristen Stewart, Elizabeth Banks and Naomi Scott will star in the new action comedy film.
The six-time Golden Globe Award nominee went on to appear in numerous television movies including The Burning Bed (1984), Poor little Rich Girl: The Barbara Hutton Story (1987) and Small Sacrifices (1989).
