Charlie’s Angels REBOOT news: Elizabeth Banks gives coy update - is it still happening?
ELIZABETH BANKS has promised that the Charlie’s Angels reboot is still in the oven, nearly a year and a half after it was first reported.

Last April the Pitch Perfect star was said to have signed up to direct a revival of the classic TV series, which was itself seven months after rumours first emerged.
However, after it went quiet for a fair few months, it ran the risk of being forgotten all over again.
Speaking to Collider whilst promoting Power Rangers, however, Banks promised that the film is still in the pipeline.
“I’m trying!” she said. “To me, again, team spirit… it takes more than one.

It’s been 16 years since the franchise was first revived for a movie, starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu.
For now, Banks is still promoting Power Rangers - which will allegedly return for five sequels.

It has hit headlines this week for introducing a gay character to its ranks - the yellow Ranger, played by Becky G.
It is not expected to dominate the Box Office this weekend, however; as Beauty and the Beast is still set to continue its success.
Power Rangers is out on March 23.
