The giant cruise ship is set to become even more entertaining, as the cruise line pushes the boundaries of the industry.
Now it has announced a host of other impressive features to be installed in the refurbishment.

An interactive aqua park called Splashaway Bay will host waterslides, water canons, fountains, pools and a drench bucket.
Dining will be more diverse with the addition of Asian restaurant Izumi, serving up fresh sushi and teppanyaki grill.
New lounges and Panoramic Ocean View staterooms will ramp up the luxurious accommodation lodgings on board.
A transformed ice rink and refreshed theatre will also be on show once the project is complete.

The makeover will be debuted on a sailing from Southampton in summer 2018.
Royal Caribbean’s 3,600-passenger Independence of the Seas turns 10 years old in 2018.
Its upgrade has been designed to help the ship compete with newer liners, such as Harmony of the Seas and Quantum of the Seas.
The impressive ship will be crossing the Atlantic in October 2018, sailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to the Caribbean.

Royal Caribbean is also building a brand new ship, called Spectrum of the Seas.
Construction officially began in August, as the first piece of steel was cut in the iconic Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany.
Spectrum is the first in the company’s Quantum Ultra-Class ship series and is due for completion in spring 2019.
The new 4,180-passenger cruise ship promises to be a groundbreaking, high-tech vessel with plenty of innovation on board.
