The beautiful island named 'best in Europe' for cycling - and it's full of Brits

This island is a much loved destination for British tourists and has also been named one of Europe's best places for cycling.

A much loved destination amongst British tourists, Tenerife has also been named one of the best for cycling.

This affordable European holiday destination has a great selection of beaches and a flight time of around four hours from the UK.

The island has been called a ‘cyclists' paradise’ - it has the perfect climate all year round for people to take to the road on a bike and explore the area.

Temperatures range from 22 to 25 degrees Celsius for most of the year and for years, the island has been a favourite for world tour teams.

Cyclists can enjoy breathtaking landscapes and geographic variety and professionals often make use of Tenerife for training.

Its also a perfect place for a family holiday. If you’re a thrill seeker, you can visit Siam Park. The water park is one of the best in Europe and this well known spot won’t disappoint you. 

Siam Park is world renowned and has a unique style, its Thai architecture and meandering slides make an exciting place for an adventurous day.

Tenerife is also home to many beautiful beaches but these few are some of its best. Playa Las Teresitas has soft sands and is a mile long meaning even in high season, there is plenty of space to set up for the day.

Playa de Masca is another great beach, with rugged landscape, you’ll have to take a demanding trek to see the ocean but it's worth it for the views.
