Conor McGregor talks revealed
UFC president Dana White has revealed he’s hopeful of meeting McGregor before the Irishman’s court case next week.
“It didn’t work out, now we’re working on meeting in between Chicago and his court date in New York,” White said during an appearance on the Unfiltered Podcast when asked why he didn’t meet McGregor in Liverpool.
“Something happened. Something went down with him personally and he couldn’t do it.”
McGregor, 21-3, hasn't fought in nearly 19 months, his last outing being his historic UFC 205 victory over Eddie Alvarez.
The Dubliner's long-awaited return to the Octagon currently hinges on the outcome of his upcoming court case, a consequence of his antics in Brooklyn.
Ireland's first UFC belt holder will appear in court next Thursday charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief for throwing a dolly through the window a bus carrying his fellow fighters, two of whom suffered injuries.
