UFC star Paddy Pimblett has admitted that he would be open to facing the WWE's Logan Paul in a boxing bout in the future after confessing that crossover bouts are 'where the money is at' in combat sports. The lightweight fighter has been involved in a war of words with the internet celebrity stretching back over a year.

The Scouser is set to make the short trip down the East Lancashire Road to take part in UFC 304 at Manchester's Co-Op Live Arena on July 28, with Bobby Green his next opponent. Coming into the contest, the 29-year-old will be looking to extend his run of seven outings without defeat in the octagon.

His last bout came versus Tony Ferguson at UFC 296 back in December, where he won via a unanimous decision over his rival in Las Vegas. As his next fight fast approaches, Pimblett has now acknowledged that he is keeping an open mind over potentially taking part in a crossover event in the future - if the right offer is to come along.

Speaking on his podcast previously, the elder Paul brother admitted that he was willing to put himself to the test against the charasmatic star. Last July, the WWE United States Champion said: "I'll be honest, I pitched it. I pitched it internally, I pitched it to the [executives] that be, if Elon Musk and Zuckerberg fight, I will do my UFC debut on the undercard. I’ll fight for free, for charity.

"You know who I want to fight actually cause that [...] Andrew Tate won’t fight me. Give me Paddy Pimblett," he continued, in a startling call-out to the MMA fan favorite. "Give me 'Paddy the Baddy'. In the offseason, that boy looks like a blimp and he’ll come up to my weight class and I’ll wallop him. He’s too small when he cuts weight. When he doesn’t cut weight he’s a [...] horseshoe."

In an exclusive interview with the Express, arranged by AceOdds, the Liverpudlian has now issued his response to the fighting talk from his adversary from across the pond. Admitting that he would jump at the chance to compete against WWE star Paul, he asserted: "Yeah of course I would. I'd fight Logan Paul tomorrow in a heartbeat.

"That's where the money's at. If someone like Logan, Jake, KSI, or any of these influencers want to have a boxing fight, and you want to pay me, I'm game," he then admitted as he prompted the internet sensation's representatives to call his management to arrange a bout, adding: "Just call my manager, Graham Boylan, and we'll get it sorted.

Giving his opinion on crossover fights in general, the Merseysider confessed: "Most of them I laugh at. Give Jake Paul his due now. Jake Paul is actually looking like a boxer. His technique's got a lot better. But we'll see how he goes against an actual fighter like Mike Perry. Because everyone else he's fought has been like 40-plus. So, we'll see how he gets on."

Pimblett also addressed the speculation over his long-term future in the UFC after confirming that his contest with Green this month is the last on his contract with the promotion previously. Confirming that he will be staying with Dana White's MMA behemoth, he said: "I think it's crazy how people have taken what I said completely out of context and used it as a clickbait like I'm leaving the UFC.

"I'm not leaving the UFC. It'll be a stupid time to leave the UFC after I've just got a ranking because once I beat Bobby Green I'm in the rankings."

What is also certain is that 'The Baddy' will not be pursuing a move to the B Leagues any time soon either, as he asserted: "I would not go to the B Leagues. All the clowns in the B League talk about me. I have seen interviews lately of [...] idiots who are in PFL.

"They don't shut up about me. It's [...] embarrassing. I'm in the UFC, I'm in the marquee promotion in the world. You wish you were there saying, oh, I've gone to PFL for the money. No, you haven't. You went to PFL because the UFC doesn't want you. That's why you went to PFL, you [...] idiot."
