Conor McGregor told to retire from combat sports
Conor McGregor has been told by his former sparring partner Paulie Malignaggi to give up fighting altogether and not re-enter the boxing world.
"He got smashed around by Mayweather, ‘The Magic Man’ said told Sky Sports. “He won't come near me now and, frankly, I don't think he should fight at all.
"If he's smart he should take a hike. He's not a very good boxer and in MMA, he has to fight some tough contenders.
"Unless he vacates his UFC title and takes on a lesser contender, which I can see him doing, I wouldn't fight at all if I was him."

The prospect of Floyd Mayweather Jr entering the UFC has intrigued McGregor, who has revealed he's more than willing to welcome the legendary boxer to the cage.
“I’m excited, let’s see,” McGregor told Adam Glyn. “I just landed so I’ll check it out. But, I’m up for it.
“He should. I went into his game, he should come into mine.”

Oscar De La Hoya hits out Floyd Mayweather
Oscar De La Hoya has dismissed the notion of Mayweather fighting McGregor in the UFC.
“I mean Floyd is a, you know him and his attention,” De La Hoya told TMZ when asked to give his thoughts on Mayweather’s recent social media antics.
