Conor McGregor is adamant he is still the UFC lightweight champion and has warned the promotion that they'll struggle to relieve him of his title.
Last month, UFC president Dana White suggested that the promotion had stripped McGregor of the 155lbs belt by declaring that the upcoming lightweight bout between Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov will be for the 'real' lightweight title.
McGregor insists that isn't the case and is adamant he still sits atop of the 155lbs division.
“Them belts are in me gaff,” McGregor told Adam Glyn was asked if he was still the lightweight champion. “In my home.
“So, good luck to anyone trying to come to my home an take those belts."

Conor McGregor has fired yet another shot at Max Holloway.
The UFC's lightweight champion took aim at his old opponent on Saturday night shortly after the news of his withdrawal from UFC 222 broke.
McGregor's latest dig at Holloway came in the form of an Instagram post, which featured a picture of 'The Notorious' palming the Hawaiian in the face during their UFC Fight Night 26 bout.
The accompanying caption read: "When there is no referee to save you."

Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather 2 could happen in MMA
Showtime Sport's Stephen Espinoza has claimed there's a chance Floyd Mayweather could fight in the UFC.
“Nobody thought that Mayweather-McGregor was a realistic thing, so I’ve learned not to question what Floyd is capable of pulling off,” Espinoza told TMZ Sports.

“There’s a chance. Like, whatever he puts his mind to, he sort of wills it to happen.”
He added: “He willed the McGregor fight into happening, so if he sets his mind to it, it’ll happen.”
Less than 24 hours after refusing to rule out the possibility of Mayweather entering the Octagon, Espinoza hinted that he and the Michigan native have discussed the possibility of having an MMA bout.
