Conor McGregor: Khabib hints he won't rematch Notorious in brutal reply to Instagram taunt
CONOR MCGREGOR’s recent dig at Khabib Nurmagomedov has received a response from the UFC lightweight champion.
McGregor took aim at the undefeated Russian early on Saturday morning after addressing his longstanding beef with Paulie Malignaggi, who he accused of ‘b******g’ about the leaked photographs and video from their sparring sessions.
“The same thing I said to Khabib at the end of round 3,” he wrote on Instagram. “My round. Don’t be b******g! Every single round b******g to the referee.
“He was even b******g in the fourth round from mount position. It baffled me.
“If anyone should have been saying anything to the referee, it should have been me in that 1st round.
“That round he held onto my legs for four minutes straight. With zero activity.
“But a fight is a fight who gives a f**k. Crying to the referee like a proper b***h. I was trying to dig my fingers into his Adams Apple.
“Many individuals in the fight business, I have learned lately, are absolute b*****s.
"I know you’s are broke boys. But don’t be broke b*****s.”
You will live with this shame all your life
It didn’t take long for McGregor’s latest comments on Dagestan native Nurmagomedov to come to the attention of his bitter rival, who responded with a taunt of his own on Twitter and Instagram.
“You will live with this shame all your life, bi...#tapmachine #mactaper,” he wrote alongside a GIF of him submitting McGregor in their UFC 229 grudge match.
A few hours later, Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz also shared an image of 'The Eagle' punching McGregor, who called him a ‘terrorist snitch’ in the first UFC 229 pre-fight press conference.
“Conor McGregor. Seriously dude stop embarrassing yourself, your family and your country," he wrote.
“You talk s**t about a man who made you f*****g quit, made you give up and after the 3rd round.
“You told him it was only business and now you says he’s a bitch.
“You’re the number 1 b***h in MMA you are the biggest prostitute the sport has ever seen.
“After Khabib Nurmagomedov beat your a** you should shut up, get back in the gym and climb your way up the ladder. #soreloser.”
McGregor is currently vying for a rematch with Nurmagomedov - his successor at the summit of the lightweight division - but it’s understood the UFC brass are set on giving the next title shot to former interim 155lbs champion Tony Ferguson.
Before they can decide which direction to take the lightweight division in, McGregor and Nurmagomedov must first learn their punishments for their actions in the mass brawl which followed UFC 229’s main event.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission were due to sanction the pair on December 10 but granted them continuances.
The NSAC are expected to reprimand the duo on January 29, the date for their next hearing.
