Conor McGregor: Dana White reveals when decision on Notorious’ next fight will be made
CONOR MCGREGOR's next fight won't be contemplated until he learns his fate for his actions in the brawl that marred UFC 229, the promotion’s president Dana White has insisted.

McGregor is awaiting punishment from the Nevada State Athletic Commission for his part in the mass melee which followed his UFC 229 bout with Khabib Nurmagomedov, who submitted him with a fourth-round neck crank.
Ireland’s first UFC champion was involved in a scuffle with Nurmagomedov's cousin Abubakar, who he clashed with on top of the Octagon, after the lightweight champion scaled the cage and attempted to attack his team-mate Dillon Danis.
The pair were due to be reprimanded for their actions earlier this month but were granted continuances from the NSAC.
McGregor's future and that of the lightweight division came up during the UFC 232 post-fight press conference, in which White insisted a decision on the future of the weight class won’t be made until the Dubliner is sanctioned.
“Well, unfortunately, we haven't gone before the Nevada State Athletic Commission yet," said White. "I don't know what the hell is going to go on before that happens.
"In my world, I think everybody knows I'd like Conor to fight next weekend and the weekend after that.
"But we'll see. I don't what's going to happen with Nevada."
White is hoping to have McGregor back in the cage by the summer and that the lightweight division can resume business as soon as possible.

"If you look at what we've got right now; you've got Conor hopefully coming back around in summer or sometime around there," he added.
"You're got Khabib who will come back after his suspension.
"You've got Tony in there now, Max Holloway could possibly move up in that weight division. There's so many great things that can happen in that division now.
"But none of that can even begin to play out or evening begin to think about it until this stuff is done with Nevada."
White's latest comments on McGregor came less than 24 hours after the 30-year-old’s manager Audie Attar revealed ‘The Notorious’ still has revenge on his mind.
“No news, now news,” Attar told MMA Betz when asked about McGregor's future. “We're still going through the Nevada State Athletic Commission hearing.
"That was postponed until January but we are confident in those results. Everything [else] is normal; just keep it moving.”
“Conor didn't enjoy the loss and he's looking to avenge that loss, but it is what it is.

"That's kind of the attitude he has. He has moved on with his life and he's launched his Proper 12 whiskey, so he's been busy with that, and he has a growing family.
"They are expecting another child soon.
"And he's really just focusing on getting back in the gym consistently so when he does make that step back into the Octagon, that he is ready to go and he's at his best."
McGregor and Nurmagomedov are expected to be sanctioned for their parts in the unsavoury UFC 229 post-fight brawl on January 29, the date for the CSAC's next hearing.
