We've reached day three of Wimbledon and there's already been plenty of drama to digest. British fans were left dejected yesterday after it emerged Andy Murray woul not recover in time to play in the singles, but is still hoping to play in the doubles alongside orother Jamie.

There have been wins however for the likes of Jack Draper, Katie Boulter and Emma Raducanu - with the latter back in action today against Elise Mertens on Court No.1 Defending men's singles champion Carlos Alacaraz also plays against Aleksander Vukic.

Novak Djokovic is safely through, and there was no sign of discomfort in his knee as he sauntered to a win over Vit Kopriva yesterday. Some matches were delayed because of steady rain at SW19, but thankfully Wednesday's forecast suggests there will be few disruptions.

The world No 1 is into the third round at Wimbledon after beating Matteo Berrettini in four sets.

Speaking on court to the BBC, Sinner said: “As I said already in round one, for me it’s a big honour to play here in such an incredible venue.

“Today I had my first match on Centre court. It’s really special. The support has been amazing. Hope to see you all in the next round. Have a good night.”

On his relationship with fellow Italian Berrettini, Sinner added: “First of all we very good friends. We play Davis cup together. We practice together. It’s very tough we had to face in round two.

“Today was a high level match. We both played really well. In three tiebreaks I got sometimes a bit lucky. I’ll take it for today. Thank you everyone for the support. It’s been amazing. It’s quite late so thanks for staying.”

Jack Draper kicked out of locker room

Jack Draper has revealed he went to the wrong locker before realising he was seeded at Wimbledon for the first time.

Draper’s remarkable form this year has seen him soar up the ATP rankings and now sits as the No 28.

Upon arriving in SW19, the 22-year-old instinctively went to the lockers designated for unranked players. However, he was swiftly told to move to another locker.

“It was funny. When I arrived I went to the changing rooms and there are two changing rooms,” Draper told talkSPORT.

“I went to the ones upstairs and put my stuff in the locker, got what I needed and got everything sorted.

“That’s what you do as a player, get your locker and you’re happy with it.

“And the guy said you’re in the wrong locker room, you have to go downstairs as you’re seeded now.

“It was a great feeling to come here seeded and feel like I belong a bit more with the best players in the world. That’s exactly where I want to be.”

But he says that was a close decision and that his body will be able to compete in two doubles competitions.

Murray said: “I obviously thought long and hard about it. I practised a few sets of singles and did well in those practices. I certainly wasn’t moving as I would like.

"But it was still able to be really competitive and it was just whether or not I was comfortable going out there and maybe not feeling like I was able to give my 100 per cent.

“Doubles is a slightly different game in terms of the physicality of it and yeah I am looking forward to that.”

“My father loved watching snooker. I only watched Ronnie. Whenever he would not play, I would not watch. We just had a meet-up, an interaction for the first time. It was great.

“He was one of the sport greats I used to watch when I was a kid. It was really nice to have him around. Hopefully we're able to play some snooker 'cause I'm really bad at snooker. I'm okay at pool or billiards, but snooker, I tried it twice, and it's really, really tough.”
