NBA Finals: Stephen A. Smith makes sensational Steph Curry claim after Game 2 win
STEPH CURRY proved why he is the greatest shooter in basketball history during the Golden State Warriors' 122-103 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 2 of the NBA Finals last night.
That's the strong opinion of ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith, who claims the Warriors have too much firepower for the Cavaliers.
While LeBron James' insane scoring night in Game 1 stole the headlines as the Cavaliers lost, Game 2 belonged to Curry.
The two-time MVP has made a career out of hitting some outrageous circus shots from beyond the arc.
And last night he showcased all his talents to help the Warriors take a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals.
Curry finished with a Finals record nine three-pointers and scored 33 points with some of his shots getting the crowd on their feet.
Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson also played a huge role, but Smith reserved special praise for Curry.
"It's falling because LeBron James isn't getting any production from his supporting cast outside of Kevin Love," Smith said on ESPN.
"J.R. Smith [played] 31 minutes... was two-of-nine, it's time for him to be benched.
"You look at Golden State, Klay Thompson is the level of consistency.
"Kevin Durant showed up in Game 2. Wanted no part of LeBron James in Game 1, that was not his problem in Game 2.
"Give him credit where credit is due. He played a marvellous game and he showed up and played like the star he is when you need to play like that when going up against LeBron James.
"Steph Curry is just a superstar, the greatest shooter I have ever seen.
"[He was] nine-of-17 from three-point range, 33 points... He was just sensational today as well.
"In the end what it comes down to is Golden State have stars who show up and they get a collective effort from eh supplementary parts."
