NBA Finals: LeBron James suffers GRUESOME eye cut from Draymond Green foul
LEBRON JAMES had his eye badly cut from Draymond Green after a challenge by the Golden State Warriors star during the first half of Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
James was once again sensational for the Cavaliers this evening as he posted up his eighth game of this year's playoffs scoring 40-plus points.
But there was concern in the first half against the Warriors after he hit the floor following a foul from Green.
The 33-year-old drove to the basket with Green jumping to block his shot.
But the 2017 Defensive Player of the Year missed the ball and connected with James' face.
James fell to the floor clutching his face as Green was called for the technical foul - his fourth of this year's postseason.
Green argued the call but later in the game a camera zoomed in on James' face as he sat on the bench and his left eye appeared to show a cut.
The Warriors power forward is now just three technical fouls away from facing a suspension.
He was famously suspended back in the 2016 NBA Finals against Cleveland for Game 5 after picking up his fourth postseason flagrant foul for an off-the-ball swipe at James.
It proved a turning point in the series as Cleveland went on to recover from a 3-1 deficit to win the title.
