RONNIE O’SULLIVAN and Ali Carter brushed shoulders as their amicable World Snooker Championship second round clash took a shock twist on Saturday.

The incident took place in the penultimate frame before the afternoon interval, with Carter leading 10-8.
As O’Sullivan and Carter approached each other during some intense safety play, their shoulders collided.
Carter walked away with a wry smile on his face while O’Sullivan looked far from impressed as he sat down in his chair.
O’Sullivan was seen saying something to his opponent from his seat, while sipping a glass of water.
Carter, meanwhile, lined up to take a shot from the bottom end of the table.

And pundit Neal Foulds said: "This is unbelievable. I’ve not seen anything like this before. That was an exchange that was not humorous.
"A few people thought it was fun, but it wasn’t."
O'Sullivan eventually lost the match 13-9.
It is understood neither player will be sanctioned over the incident.
