MARK SELBY produced one of the finest shots of his career this week before crashing out of the Players Championship.
Mark Selby pots an amazing shot at the Players Championship
World no 1 Selby was playing Ryan Day in the Players Championship at Llandudno on Monday.
The Leicester man was confronted with a tricky snooker behind the black in the second frame of the match.
Yet instead of simply angling to touch the last remaining red, the Jester from Leicester played a sublime shot off two cushions and glance the red into the middle pocket.
The crowd whooped with delight at the shot, which is certainly the best so far after two days of this tournament.
Sadly for Selby, the effort did not lead to a match victory as Day took the win 6-3.

Mark Selby is already out of the Players Championship
The Welshman progressed to face Mark Williams, having already won the Romanian Masters on Sunday evening.
There is £125,000 up for grabs for the winner at the Players’ Championship, which is into its eighth year.
Day lost to Selby 5-4 in the first round of this tournament last year, only for the latter to go out to Marco Fu in the quarter-finals.
