And now, the Kettering potter feels it is time for the next generation to knock them off their perch.

Wilson, 26, and Allen, 31, were also joined in the semi-finals by Judd Trump, 28.
But it will be Wilson and Allen to battle it out for this year's Masters crown at Alexandra Palace after they beat Trump and Higgins respectively.

The Warrior is pleased to see more youth reach the latter stages of competitions and reckons this is their chance to take over.
"It's nice that three out of the four lads in the semi-finals were of the younger generation," Wilson said.
"It's good for snooker getting the young guys appearing in later stages of tournaments more and more.

"There's more in the top 16 now and we're trying to knock the old guard off their perch."
He added: "Mark is one of the most consistent performers this season and he's always there or there abouts.
"I believe he really is a fantastic player and I love playing him.

"He seems to bring out the best in me and he's got similar qualities to me.
"He has that grit in his teeth and wants to fight, and I enjoy playing people like that - it really gets you up for it."
