World Darts Championship: Phil Taylor ordered down the pub by Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams
PHIL TAYLOR must enjoy retirement after the World Darts Championship and go down the pub at least once a week.
World Darts Championship: Phil Taylor should go down the pub once a week when he retires, says Adams
That is according to three-time BDO World Darts champion Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams.
Taylor is set to call it a day after the year-ending tournament at Alexandra Palace, which got underway yesterday.
The 57-year-old starts his campaign tonight against fellow Englishman Chris Dobey.
Adams says Taylor must socialise after he hangs up his darts and meet new people down at his local.
I would say at least once a week, go down the pub with your mates
“I would say at least once a week, go down the pub with your mates,” Adams told Sky Sports.
“Have a few beers with your mates at least once a week.
“Then you start talking to other people, people will start talking to you.
“People you know, some people you don’t know. I just enjoy their company and enjoy a drink with them because that’s what it’s all about.”
World Darts Championship: Phil Taylor should take up fishing and forget darts, says George
Former BDO World Darts Championship runner-up Bobby George believes Taylor should forget about darts and turn his attention to fishing.
“Buy yourself a fishing pole, get all the gear, go fishing, look at the trees and the water and the wildlife round you,” George said.
“Don’t worry about the darts son, live a bit longer then.”
