RONNIE O'SULLIVAN will make his season’s bow against Liang Wenbo at the Shanghai Masters on Tuesday in a repeat of the 2009 final.

The Rocket has not played a competitive match since crashing out of the World Championship to Barry Hawkins in April.
But the five-time world champion will now take on Chinese home favourite and former practice partner Liang on the Grand Stage Tuesday afternoon.
Last year’s UK Championship runner-up Liang, who used to share a Romford base with the 40-year-old O’Sullivan, beat amateur Hu Hao 5-3 on Monday.

John Higgins will also be in action as the former world No 1 enters his 24th year as a professional.
Higgins won the Shanghai Masters back in 2012 and will start the tournament against Matthew Selt this evening and will then face Ali Carter or Kurt Maflin.
