Ronnie O'Sullivan playing it cool at Crucible
RONNIE O'SULLIVAN is being touted as a shoo-in for a sixth world title- but insists there is no such thing in the Crucible hothouse.
O'Sullivan, 38, is the hottest odds-on favourite to make it a hat-trick of win in Sheffield since seven-time winner Stephen Hendry in his pomp 20 years ago.
But he stressed there would be no complacency as he attempts to draw level with Steve Davis on six wins - one adrift of Hendry's record.
O'Sullivan, who next plays either Shaun Murphy or Marco Fu after beating Joe Perry 13-11, said: "I don't feel like an odds-on favourite. I don't think anyone has been made that short a favourite since Stephen Hendry back in the 1990s.
"I would defy anyone to think they have got this in the bag, even Hendry in his prime back in the day.
"He might have been quietly confident arriving, but it is such a pressurised environment someone can get on a roll against you and play great stuff you have to keep your wits about you all the time."
Judd Trump leads Ryan Day 10-6 and Dominic Dale needs just one more frame at 12-4 to get past Michael Wasley.
