NFL: Menelik Watson not happy with Oakland Raiders defeat despite action
MENELIK WATSON had his first taste of a regular-season game for the Oakland Raiders, but it proved to be a bitter one for the Briton as his team were crushed at home 49-20 by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Offensive tackle Watson - who has been plagued by calf and knee injuries since pre-season, forcing him to miss Oakland's first seven games - said: "I can't be happy about what happened out there, it's very frustrating. But I am glad to be back on the field.
"It's good to get that experience, to get my hands on somebody and move some people around. But obviously I'm just really disappointed by the result."
Watson' Raiders team-mate and fellow Brit, defensive end Jack Crawford, also had a day to remember, registering his first career sack, but Oakland's win-loss record fell to 3-5. They will face the Miami Dolphins at Wembley Stadium next year.
