NBA news: Golden State Warriors head coach SLAMS team after Utah Jazz loss
GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS head coach Steve Kerr has slammed his team after losing 108-103 to the Utah Jazz.
The Warriors were defeated having failed to close the gap left by a poor first half.
The fourth quarter opened up with the Warriors needing to overturn a four point deficit.
And despite a late rally, with Steph Curry believing he had drawn a foul with two seconds remaining, the Warriors were unable to close the gap.
Speaking after the game, Kerr was critical of his team and said that he felt that they let off the Jazz.
“I don’t think either team played well,” he said.
“I think we let them off the hook a little bit.
“We didn’t play all that well, but we made a lot of mistakes.
“We didn’t find the necessary execution that you need to win in this building.
“We made it close with a few shots down the straight, but really we didn’t play our game.”
Kerr admitted that the way the team is playing is not the same as it has been in recent years.
The Warriors are going for a third straight NBA title, but currently find themselves second in the Western Conference.
“We’re not moving the ball,” Kerr said.
“We’re not playing the same way as we have the last few years.
“We aren’t playing where the ball is really moving and we’re taking great shots.
“If you’re not taking shots you’re not getting a good shooters accuracy.”
