Steph Curry: Kyrie Irving claim made by Max Kellerman over ‘fake moon landings’
STEPH CURRY’s comment about the moon landings being faked was just as bad as Kyrie Irving’s suggestion that the world was flat.
That's the view of NBA pundit Max Kellerman.
Curry was ridiculed earlier this week when he put forward his idea that he believed no man had ever stepped foot on the moon.
The Golden State Warriors star was invited by NASA to view the evidence at their lunar lab in Houston.
Kellerman was shocked at what he heard and thought it was on a similar level of stupidity to Boston Celtics ace Irving.
“Steph Curry is a role model. Kids look up to him,” Kellerman said on First Take.
“They relate to him. He’s not so big.
“He’s not the fastest.
“He’s just talented and works hard.
“He’s a great team-mate. They really love Steph.
“He’s a role model because of that and that’s just irresponsible.
“When Kyrie Irving said the earth was flat - that’s the dumbest thing a public figure has said in my lifetime, if not one of them!
“Steph’s comment is in the same vein.”
Durant: Just a matter of time before Curry gets back to the flow
Curry has since backtracked on those claims and revealed he was joking.
He said: “One thousand percent [was joking].
“One thousand percent. Obviously I was joking when I was talking on the podcast.”
Warriors are currently in action against the Toronto Raptors.
