LeBRON JAMES decided to move to Los Angeles Lakers after taking part in James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke.
LeBron James denies leaving the NBA after Dwayne Wade quits
That’s the view of rapper Ice Cube, who also took part in the fun-filled summer escapade.
LeBron joined the Lakers in the NBA offseason after opting out of the final year of his contract with Cleveland Cavaliers.
It came after he reached four successive NBA Finals with the Cavs, winning one Championship.
But after Carpool Karaoke was filmed in LA, Ice Cube jokingly revealed that he believed that was the day LeBron decided to join the Lakers.
“That’s the day he decided that he was going to be a Laker,” Ice Cube said on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
“He had so much fun.
“He thought ‘Man, I’m out here in LA with Cube and James, it’s going down, I got to be here’.
“We brought LeBron to LA.”
LeBron James has helped the Lakers to a 17-10 record so far this season and played a key role as they beat his former side Miami Heat on Monday night.
It was LeBron’s final match against good friend Dwyane Wade with the Heat star retiring after this season.
But Wade believes LeBron won’t follow him in hanging up the sneakers anytime soon.
"He can do anything he wants," said Wade. "He’s shown that, he’s proven that.
"Not only is he one of the greatest players, he’s one of the greatest people.
"What he’s done on and off the court is second to none.
"No one has been able to accomplish what he’s been able to accomplish.
"He’s taken advantage of his opportunities from day one.
"And I have no doubt that this team will be in the finals at some point.
"This guy can play for as long as he wants and I’ll be here to see it."
