Lakers: Walton says LeBron ‘gets frustrated’ when taken out
The Lakers were ten points ahead going into the fourth quarter on Friday night but gave up 44 points in the final section.
It meant the Spurs, who Lakers beat on Thursday, ended up 133-120 winners.
LeBron made 35 points during his 37 minutes on court but was blown away along with the rest of his team-mates in the last 12 minutes.
And LeBron has revealed that the Lakers just couldn’t handle the Spurs when they got on a roll.
“They hit a rhythm and we couldn’t stop them,” LeBron said.
“They started running a lot of screen rolls.
“Big [Jakob] Poeltl was making really good screens, getitng guys open for shots.
“When he didn’t have shots he was rolling to the rim and finishing.
“For three quarters we were very good, we had some very good possessions that just didn’t go our way at times.
“We can learn from today.”
The Spurs had made a hilarious mistake ahead of the game in relation to LeBron.
In a team guide, Spurs listed LeBron’s experience as R, indicating he is in his rookie season.
As it is, LeBron is closer to retirement than he is to beginning his NBA career.
And Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr recently admitted it’s unlikely there will ever be another LeBron.
“Forever people were trying to predict who the next Michael Jordan was,” he said.
“And there was no next Jordan.
“Now people are trying to predict the next LeBron.
“There is no next LeBron.”
