NBA news: Kevin Durant or Anthony Davis to Lakers, LeBron James trade talks, Bradley Beal
NBA news - Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis and LeBron James dominate the latest rumours and gossip coming out of the league.
Kevin Durant or Anthony Davis to Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers must sign Kevin Durant or Anthony Davis if they want to win a title, Paul Pierce claims.
When asked if the Lakers can win a championship with LeBron James, the former Boston Celtics star said: “It’s possible.
“They’ve got the building block in LeBron. That’s a start.
“But they have to get one of Durant or Davis if they’re going to win another title before LeBron’s done.”
The Bradley Beal trade is not happening. The Lakers front office think he’s too expensive
Luke Walton on Lakers free agency
Luke Walton and LeBron James have not discussed the Lakers’ plans beyond this season, including their free agency plans, the coach has revealed.
“We talk about the best route to get where we want to be at the end of this season,” Walton said.
“What’s the best way of getting there? We have those type of talks.
“As far as anything past this season, we don’t talk about it at all.”
Bradley Beal to Lakers update
Bradley Beal will not join the Lakers because the Washington Wizards star is too expensive, NBA pundit Colin Cowherd claims.
“This is a city of agents, and stars, and power-brokers and you just start hearing stuff,” Cowherd said.
“The Bradley Beal trade is not happening.
“The Lakers front office think he’s too expensive, they think they can get players.
“The Lakers like Bradley Beal and LeBron really likes Bradley Beal.
“But for the next two years after this one you’d be paying $28million.
“That would negate any run at Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis or Kevin Durant.”
