NBA news: Lakers star Lonzo Ball reveals BIZARRE things he does BEFORE matches
LOS ANGELES LAKERS young star Lonzo Ball has revealed that he has a bizarre warm-up routine with team-mate Rajon Rondo.
Ball is in his sophomore year at the Lakers, after impressing during his college career.
During his first season, he struggled slightly with the Lakers, who found wins hard to come by.
He started 50 games out of 52, as the Lakers missed out on the NBA Play-Offs.
However, his stats throughout his rookie year were poor, as he averaged 10.2 points-per-game.
He was able to secure an average of 6.9 rebounds-per-game.
In the off-season this summer, the Lakers were attempting to find a more experienced player to challenge for Ball’s place in the team.
They found Rondo, who also acts as a mentor to the young point guard.
And Ball, 21, revealed to ESPN that he has a strange warm-up routine with the 32-year-old.
He explained that the two practice together, and that Rondo is not shy about getting in his face physically and verbally.
“Yeah, he’ll try to get into me,” Ball admitted.
“Just stuff to try to get me going.
“He talks a bunch of trash in practice all the time, which makes me pretty mad.
“I told him, my whole life I [respond to] getting yelled at [by the coach] so that is how I respond.
“If you see stuff, just yell at me.
“I tune into it. That is how he tries to help me out.”
