NBA news: Why is Draymond Green NOT playing for Warriors against Hawks?
NBA NEWS - Draymond Green will not play for the Golden State Warriors in their clash with Atlanta Hawks tonight.
Warriors are already without star Steph Curry as he suffers from a groin injury.
It comes with the reigning NBA champions top of the Western Conference with a 11-3 record.
The Hawks are struggling in the Eastern with a 3-10 record so Golden State will be expected to win.
But they will have to do so without Green after the Warriors announced he will miss the game due to 'conduct detrimental to the team'.
Green was involved in an angry late-game exchange with team-mate Kevin Durant during their overtime defeat to LA Clippers on Monday night.
That confrontation is believed to have carried into the Warriors’ locker room after Green attempted to dribble the ball instead of pass to Durant.
After the end of regular time, Durant and Green were separated after engaging in a heated row.
And now the Warriors have placed a one game suspension on the forward, which will reportedly cost him $120,480 (£92,500).

ESPN add that Warriors officials are determining whether comments made between Green and Durant crossed the line.
Neither player addressed the media after the game and ESPN pundit Jalen Rose believes Green was in the wrong for not passing to Durant.

“The signature play for KD once he joined the Warriors was when he dribbled up the left side at Cleveland, shot over LeBron James and made a three.
“That’s a signature play for him.
“When you have the basketball in the back court, six seconds to go, you can’t advance the ball, get across half-court and turn it over.”
Tip-off for tonight’s game is at 3.30am Wednesday morning at the Oracle Arena.
