Steph Curry: Warriors star passes key milestone in NBA clash against Wizards
STEPH CURRY was in sensational form for the Golden State Warriors.
Curry - who was a key part of the Warriors side than won the NBA Finals at the expense of the Cavs last season, was unstoppable in his side’s clash with the Washington Wizards.
On another magnificent shooting night, Curry - a two-time MVP - was on fire with his three-pointers.
He made a stunning splash in the first quartered he contributed 31 points and made six three-pointers last night.
In doing so, he passed a key milestone by scoring 2,154 career threes, overtaking Jamaal Crawford (2,153) to move into fifth place on the all-time list.
Curry has been seemingly invincible from beyond the arc.
At present, he has been averaging a career-high 11.7 3-point shots per game.
And he is now shooting 46.7 per cent from the three-pointer area.
I’m just trying to play strong, play efficient and consistent
When asked about his shooting prowess earlier this week, Curry said: “I’m just trying to play strong, play efficient and consistent.
“You don’t know how you’re going to get it, just keep your foot on the gas pedal, try to play-make and use the guys around me and try to make them better.”
Curry also feels like he has been more productive, adding: “I don’t know if that’s the way it’s officiated or if teams are stacking rosters with faster and more versatile guys, for more consistent parts of the game.
